Roy Theriot

(June 14, 1943 – 

October 14, 2021)

A life well lived

 

Breaux Bridge – Roy Theriot died peacefully at his home at the age of 78 from complications of diabetes. His wife of 59 years, Hazel Cormier Theriot, was by his side as he took his last breath. 

Roy lived a full life always leading by example.  His contributions to the Acadiana business and philanthropic community will continue for generations.

Virgie S. Latiolais

Henderson A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church for Virgie Serrette Latiolais, 91, who passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at St. Martin Hospital.

Vvisiting hours were observed at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday and continued on Tuesday from 7 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. 

A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. on Monday.

Rev. Lloyd F. Benoit officiated at the Funeral Mass. Readers were Jayden Breaux and Sabrina Scriber.

David J. Serrette

Breaux Bridge – A Funeral Service will be held on Oct. 16 at Pellerin Funeral Home for David James Serrette, 62, who died on Oct. 1, 2021.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Serrette; daughter, Mrs. Kyle (Dawn) Bourque); son, Scott Serrette; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sister, Mrs. Ken (Sandra) Mouton; and brother, Marvin Serrette Sr.

Pellerin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Bobby Picard I

St. Martinville - A funeral service was held on Oct. 12 at Pellerin Funeral Home for Bobby Picard I, 56, who died on Oct. 7, 2021.

He is survived by his sons, Bobby Picard II and Travis Picard; daughter, Tiffany Picard; seven grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. George (Cathy) Leger, Mrs. David (Cindy) Derouen and Mrs. David (Margie) Picard; and brother, Johnny Picard.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Michelle Guidry Picard. 

  Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville was in charge of arrangements.

Michael P. Lasseigne

St. Martinville – Funeral services were held on Oct. 11 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for Michael “Mike” Paul Lasseigne, 69, who died on Oct. 8, 2021.

He is survived by his brothers, Ulysses Sr. and Gerald Lasseigne.

Pellerin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
