Breaux Bridge –- A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, Aug. 7, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for Isabelle Thomas Jones, 86, who died on Tuesday, August 3, 2021.
She is survived by her daughter, Janice Babineaux; a grandson and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Irving Jones.

St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Aug. 14, at Notre Dame Catholic Church for Ludger Cormier, 74, who died on Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2021.
Ludger served his country in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his daughters, Mrs. David (Shanta) Richard, Lucresha Cormier and Bridget Cormier; six grandchildren and two great granddaughters; sisters, Lorraine Kennerson, Carolyn Cormier, Barolyn Batiste and Mrs. Joseph (Millie) Washington; and his brother, Eugene L. Cormier.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Marie Phillips Cormier.
Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Aug. 13, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for Vincent Joseph “Vee” Batiste, 57, who died on Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2021.
Survivors include his mother, Agnes Demouchet-Batiste; children, Joshua Marshall, and Cedric, Jaleel and Batiste; 11 grandchildren; sisters, Prenella Charles, Mrs. Raymond (Norma) James and Tammy Lewis; and brothers, Lionel, John, Arthur and Camille Batiste.

Breaux Bridge – A graveside service was held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, August 9, 2021, at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 for Inez Rita Serpas Mouton, 96, who passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2021, peacefully at her residence, surrounded by loved ones.
Rev. Ed Degeyter officiated at the graveside service.
Inez was a resident of New Orleans, Louisiana for most of her life before she was married. She worked for the FBI for many years, until becoming an amazing homemaker.
