William Rogers ‘Bill’ Clark

Las Cruces, New Mexico – A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for William Rogers “Bill” Clark. Bill passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 17, 2021. He was 60 years young and a resident of Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Bill was born in St. Martinville, Louisiana to William and Beverly Trahan Clark on February 17, 1961. He graduated from Carrol High, Corpus Christi, Texas. He attended college then enlisted in the Navy and was honorably discharged after ten years.

Alexina Barber

Breaux Bridge A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Sept. 3 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for Alexina Barber, 97, who died on Aug. 29, 2021. 

She is survived by her sons, Carroll and Darrell Barber; daughters, Alda M. and Anna Barber, Mrs. Earl (Hilda) Spencer, Mrs. Melvin (Alice) Malone and Mrs. William (Eva) Mouton; 37 grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren and 57 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Barber. 

Pellerin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Evelyn S. Allemond

Henderson A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Sept. 2, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson for Evelyn S. Allemond, 83, who died on Aug. 28, 2021.

She is survived by her husband, Leonce “Nunu” Allemond; daughters, Gwen Nargassans, Mrs. Terrell (Lisa)  and Mrs. Alvon (Lori) Laviolette; son, Perry J. Allemond Sr.; 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Lester  and Charles Serrette.  

Pellerin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

James Abraham

Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Sept. 7 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for James Abraham, 60, who died on Aug. 31, 2021.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila Davis Abraham; sons, Jarmal Davis, and Markeyton and Markaylon Abraham; daughters, Shawanna and Viola Davis, and Erica Abraham; eight grandchildren; mother, Willie Mae E. Abraham; brothers, Clarence, Lawrence, Lionel and Harold Abraham; and his godchild, Conkeisha Celestine.

He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Abraham.

Ernest D. Friedman III

Cecilia – A Funeral Service was held on Sept. 2 at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Ernest Dadied Friedman III, 65, on Aug. 31, 2021.

He is survived by his mother, Joycelyn Friedman; brother, Tucker J. Friedman; sisters, Mrs. Leonard (Shelly) Benoit, Mrs. Davis (Myra) Tuttle and Mrs. Terry (Melinda) Guidry.
