Cecilia – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at  4 p.m, on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Shirley Marie Hayes, 81, who passed away surrounded by her family.

A visitation was held at the funeral home in Cecilia on Tuesday from  8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.

A rosary was recited at  3 p.m. on Tuesday.

Rev. Msgr. Jefferson Deblanc officiated at the Funeral Mass.  Readers were Lindsay Hayes and Ashley Steele. Jaxon Steele and Lane Hayes served as Gift Bearers.

St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Sept. 2 at Notre Dame Catholic Church for Barbara Ann Jacquet, 77.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Kila) Francis; son, Keith Jacquet; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Glenn (Cliter) Hayward; and brothers, Melvin and Willie Jones.

Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 24 at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Jimmie Calvin Bergeron, 82, who died on Aug. 19, 2022.

He is survived by wife of 32 years, Carol Bergeron; son, Dannie Bergeron; daughters, Mrs. George (Michelle) Moran and Mrs. David (Anita) Worrell); five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
