Breaux Bridge – A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 17, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Jeremy Cy Prejean, 38, who passed away on Sunday, Dec. 13, 2020.
He is survived by his wife, Melissa Breaux Prejean; two sons, Bentley and Baylen Prejean; parents, Steven and Pamela Theriot Prejean; and brother, Joshua Prejean.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
Lafayette – Funeral services were held on Thursday, Dec. 10, at St. Genevieve Catholic Church for Derrick Joseph Hebert, 60, who passed away on Monday, Dec. 7, 2020.
Interment was at Lafayette Memorial Park.
He is survived by his brothers, Larry and Gregory Hebert; and sisters, Sandra Bianchini and Susan Hebert.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Julie Paige Veillon Hebert.
Pellerin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, December 11, 2020, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Laura Huval Goulas, 91, who passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020, at her residence.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday.
A rosary was prayed at 10:30 a.m. on Friday.
Rev. Garrett McIntyre officiated at the Funeral Mass. Readers were Chyme Matte and Tierney Beebe.
Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge.
St. Martinville – A Memorial Service will be held privately at a later date for Paul Dauphine Jr., age 83.
A native of St. Martinville and resident of Parks, Mr. Dauphine passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Landmark of Acadiana.
Mr. Dauphine was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting and watching sports. He was employed at Martin Mills for many years.
He will be missed dearly by his family and all who loved him.
Breaux Bridge – Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, private services will be held for Annette Castille Begnaud, 92, who passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020, at St. Agnes Healthcare & Rehab Center.
Interment will follow St. Bernard Mausoleum - No. 1 in Breaux Bridge.
Annette worked at Dan Thibodeaux Grocery and also worked as an insurance agent with Security Industrial Insurance. She was the owner of Begnaud’s Grocery in Poche Bridge for many years. As a pastime, Annette enjoyed doing ceramics, crocheting, and cooking and baking for her family.
