Susan Bernard Latiolais

St. Martinville – Private memorial services will be held at a later date for Susan Bernard Latiolais, age 68. Susan peacefully passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

Susan was a dedicated workaholic who held the title and trade of an electrician. She found joy in the outdoors, indulging in her love for gardening. Above all, Susan cherished spending time with her grandchildren, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her beloved husband, Costa Joseph Latiolais, Jr.; her daughter, Stacey Heitman; stepdaughter, Karen Berthelot, and husband Scott; two stepsons, Costa Latiolais, III and wife April and Kory Latiolais; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren, with one more on the way; two brothers, Chris Bernard and wife Barbara, and Robin Bernard and companion Vickie Hebert; two sisters, Judy Hockenbury and husband Darren, and Kellie Duhon and husband Allen. Additionally, her lifelong friend, Nanette Dugas, holds a special place in her heart.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Rogers and Geraldine Sanson Bernard. 

The family extends their gratitude to all personnel of Audubon Hospice for their care and support during this difficult time.
