Raleigh was born on November 13, 1942, in Saint Martinville. As an avid fisherman, he could often be found casting his line into the calm waters of the nearby basin, rivers and lakes. Fishing was more than just a hobby for Raleigh; it was a sacred ritual that allowed him to connect with nature and find peace in its serene beauty. Raleigh always found joy in those precious moments spent with a fishing rod in hand.

Hunting was another great love in Raleigh’s life. He possessed an unparalleled skill and knowledge of the wilderness.

Sports also held a special place in Raleigh’s heart. A true outdoorsman, he not only enjoyed participating in various athletic activities, but also had an unwavering loyalty to his favorite teams. As an avid LSU fan, he cheered passionately for every touchdown and reveled in their victories.

While these activities brought him happiness and excitement, Raleigh’s true source of joy lay in spending quality time with his family. He treasured every moment shared with his loved ones and made sure that they knew just how much they meant to him. Whether it was gathering together at their beloved camp for a fish fry or simply sitting around the dinner table.

Raleigh will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
