Jamey Paul Boudreaux

Catahoula – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 6, 2020, at St. Rita Catholic Church for Jamey Paul Boudreaux, 37, who passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2020.
Visiting hours were observed at Dion Hall from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday and continued on Monday from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
A rosary was prayed at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Rev. Bill Melancon officiated at the Funeral Mass. The readers were Shirley Louviere and Ginny Boudreaux. Gift Bearers were John and Christine Smith.
Interment followed at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula.
Jamey was born August 10, 1982. He loved his collection of knives and enjoyed flying model planes, and playing with his cat, “Boo Boo.” Jamey was a people-person and enjoyed visiting with family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all.
He is survived by his loving parents, Johnny J. and Mary Douet Boudreaux; brothers, Billy Boudreaux, Dustin Boudreaux, Justin Boudreaux, Cody Boudreaux, Jody Boudreaux and Mason Boudreaux; and his sisters, Ginny Boudreaux, Elizabeth Boudreaux and Ariana Boudreaux.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Jeanette F. Higginbotham; maternal grandfather, Whitney Douet; paternal grandfather, Mayer Boudreaux; paternal grandmother, Lena Johnson; many aunts and uncles; and his very special cousin, Duke G. Douet.
Pallbearers were Johnny J. Boudreaux, Dustin Boudreaux, Justin Boudreaux, Dave Louviere, Mike Fuselier and Clyde Douet.
Honorary pallbearers were Cody Boudreaux, Jody Boudreaux, Whitney Douet and John Smith.
Pellerin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
