Galton Hulin Sr.

St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for Galton Hulin Sr., 95, who passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021, at his residence
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Saturday.
A rosary was prayed at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
Rev. Bill Melancon officiated at the Funeral Mass. Interment followed at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Galton spent a lot of time cultivating and planting vegetables in his garden and giving most of what he produced to his family and friends. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Galton instilled in his family his strong work ethic and firmly believed that hard work was an essential tool to providing a good life to his family.
Galton was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, who will be remembered for his kind and generous heart.
He is survived by his two sons, Galton Hulin Jr. (Roylene) and Ricky Hulin (Dana); three daughters, Glenda Hulin (companion Bryan Bourgeois), Juanita Sieber (Kirk) and Angelina “Tinnie” Theriot (Merlin); grandchildren, Jill Usie, Jamie Yates, Staci Courtois, Brady Hulin, Jeremy Dartez, Brandi Ladd, Joshua Hulin and Jake Sieber; 21 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Mae Bergeron.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Adelia Laviolette Hulin; parents, Sully and Anita Champagne Hulin; two brothers, Murphy Hulin and Hubert “Bee” Hulin; and his sister, Lorraine Guidry.
Pallbearers were Jeremy Dartez, Brady Hulin, Ethan Hulin, Joshua Hulin, Murphy Hulin and Dexter Bergeron.
Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville was in charge of arrangements.
