Clint Shawn Aubrey

Breaux Bridge – A Funeral Service was celebrated at 12 p.m. on Monday, September 20, 2021, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Clint Shawn Aubrey, 53, who passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021, at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans.

Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 7 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Monday.

A rosary was prayed at 9 a,m. on Monday.

Rev. Dempsey Davis officiated at the Funeral Service. Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.

Clint was a cowboy at heart who loved riding his horses. He played basketball for many years.  During his college days, he was scouted by a Chicago Bulls agent to play professional basketball. Clint was very close to becoming an NBA player, but due to injury and other obstacles, he chose another profession in law enforcement. He will be remembered for his zest for life, athletic abilities, and his kind and gentle heart.

He is survived by his wife, Lori Aubrey; sons, Tiylon Alexander, Jabyron Alexander and a stepson, Jon Ross Eddy (Janice); stepdaughters, Kristin Eddy (Justin) and Shana Davis (Shane); grandchildren, Tryston Delafosse, Sawyer Eddy, Addy Davis and Ayra Eddy; mother, Monita F. Aubrey; and his brothers, Demetrius Aubrey and Joseph Roland Aubrey Jr.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Roland Aubrey Sr.; paternal grandparents, Louis and Vernice Aubrey; and maternal grandparents, Edolia and Maurice Ferdinand.

Pallbearers were Mark Bonnet, Wayne Charles, Ben Alex, Carl Bourque, Michael Pete and Ted Daigle.

Honorary pallbearers were Demetrius Aubrey, Joseph Roland Aubrey Jr., Tryston Delafosse, Joseph R. Aubrey, Luke Aubrey, Lawrence Hypolite and Stephone Cormier.
