She is preceded in death by her mother, Leatrice Broussard Charpentier; step-father, Allen Charpentier; step-mother, Jeanette Blanchard; companion, Roy Benoit; father of her children, Gary “Bimmie” Champagne; niece, Ashley Hebert; and brother-in-law, Ron Hebert.

Before her passing, Cheryl expressed her gratitude and thanks to her sisters, her brother, Danny, her godchild, Katie, and her cousin, Elaine for taking good care of her and being there for her.
