Missionaries, mining company employees hold reunion in Breaux Bridge

Breaux Bridge – John Cutts, missionary and founder of the Village Heartbeat Foundation, a nonprofit Christian organization formed to help meet some of the social, educational, health and spiritual needs of the numerous remote communities scattered throughout the Intan Jaya region, West Papua, Indonesia was raised with the Moni tribe.

John put together a book, soon to be published, about his missionary work. He sat with the Teche News and shared stories about his upbringing.

His parents, Bill and Grace Cutts, adopted him when he was two years old. John and his siblings, Amy, Faith and Bill, grew up in the jungle among the many tribes of the region learning their culture and language.
